Full program release and ticket sales!
The day is finally here when we can release the entire program for HUMAN 2025!

Troughout the year we work to find the best, most exciting, surprising, important and entertaining documentaries from around the world. This year we have a large batch of films straight from the Sundance and Berlinale festivals, and as many as three of this year’s Oscar-nominated documentaries. Our Norwegian competition program is, as usual, very strong with several premieres and titles that will go on to the world after HUMAN, and we also have several Norwegian co-productions that have done very well internationally.
Ukraine and Palestine are natural focus areas in this year’s programme, with films, theatre, talks and master classes, and lectures by Eyal Weizman from Forensic Architecture.
We believe in the importance of a large flora of different film festivals, and we collaborate with the festivals Masahat and Oslo/Fusion which have curated short film programs at HUMAN, Cine Latino and Mirage about films on the program.
We believe that the absolute greatest strength of film festivals is being a meeting place. Both for the audience, and for filmmakers and their audience. That is why we emphasize Q&A and conversations on all Norwegian films, and international ones where we have filmmakers present. For the festival, we will be visited by a number of exciting international guests: directors and producers behind The Dating Game, Folktales, Green is the New Red, Vivas, Death Without Mercy and the opening movie Mr. Nobody Against Putin, as well as Eyal Weizman fra Forensic Architecture, og dramatikeren Einat Weizman.
Our competition program for best human rights film, Human Rights Human Wrongs, has its official opening on Tuesday 11 March with Intercepted, and is in collaboration with the Norwegian Helsinki Committee and Amnesty International Norway.
Our collaboration network consists of more than a hundred organizations and institutions, and every year the network actively helps shape the festival program.
This year we also have an extended offer for families with children: Mini-HUMAN family day at the Cinemateket on Sunday 16 March! Here we show documentaries for children of all ages, and activities and a family day menu at Cinemateket.
This year we also have screenings and events in other places than the Cinemateket and Vega in collaboration with other actors, such as Kunstnernes Hus Kino, Folkets hjørne, UiO, Gimle kino. These can be found under “external events”.
On Thursday 13 March, there will be a full house party at Vega where, in collaboration with Vega, we will set up a party on all floors. On Friday 14 March, there will be an official Human after-party on the spectacular Byen’s roof!

Tickets are now on sale for all performances, and this year we are also offering festival passes, so you can see as many films as your heart desires!
