Info about digital festival
Our digital platforms and pre-sale opens february 26th

Our entire program will be available online, both films and live events.
This means that the festival will be available in the whole country for the first time!
This year’s program is as large as any other year, but the form will necessarily be a little different, since this year we will be a digital festival.
HUMAN 2021 takes place on two different digital platforms:
- HUMAN Digital film platform for all movies and related conversations,
- Digital Salong, where we live-stream 21 debates and conversations.
Both platforms open on February 26, when you can also pre-purchase access to digital films.

HUMAN DIGITAL FILM PLATFORM
(Opens Friday, February 26 for pre-purchase)
On our digital film platform, you can rent and watch all 44 films on this year’s program.
Along with the films, there is also a lot of extra material: introductions, director greetings and conversations, so that the experience of renting a film on the platform is similar to the experience when you normally buy a ticket for a cinema screening at the festival. The extras play automatically before and after the movie you rent.
In the film program you will find three categories;
- Norwegian competition program, eleven new Norwegian documentaries
- International competition program, ten international documentaries on human rights issues
- Just Human, which consists of new, strong documentaries from around the world.
How the digital film platform works
Price for film rental: NOK 65
Some short films are priced lower or free.
You must create a user on the platform with email address and password.
The films from this year’s festival program are available from March 1 at 19:00. The majority of the films are available until midnight 14 March, while some films are only available during the festival week up until midnight 7 March. This is stated under each individual film inside the film platform.
You only pay for the films you want to rent.
All films have a limited number of screenings, so they can be sold out as a regular movie screening. We advise you rent the film well in advance.
From 25 February, you will be able to pre-purchase films you want to see during this year’s festival – but you can not start watching the film before the festival’s opening day, 1 March, 19:00.
As soon as it is rented and added to your library, you will be guaranteed the opportunity to watch that movie.
When you rent a movie, you can start playing it at any time during the festival period March 1 at 19:00 to March 7 at 23: 59/14. March at 23:59. The movie is available for 48 hours from the time you press play for the first time.

DIGITAL SALONG
This year we are making our debate salon digital, and here 21 debates and conversations will be live-streamed, free and available for everyone. No login is required here.
Every day at 12.00 we livestream our daily video podcast Human Talks, which talks about today’s festival program.
You can see the times for the debates in the calendar, and during each individual event. After the event is over, a recording of the live stream will remain in the Digital Salong so you can watch it at a later date.

ART AT HUMAN
For the tenth year in a row, the gallery Kunstplass Contemporary Art [Oslo] has set up a separate exhibition in collaboration with the festival, and this takes place physically!
In addition, this year’s program includes an art installation by Thomas Østbye at Galleri Høg Standard.
