Screening of the short films made in a three-day animation workshop for children aged 10-12 at Cinemateket during the festival. The animation workshop is led by Palestinian artist and filmmaker Rasmi Damo. The screening is part of Mini-HUMAN Family Day and is free.

Creative workshop for children: How to make animation film – Stories of strength

Solidarity Hub – Department of Psychology at the University of Oslo and Mental Health and Human Rights Info (MHHRI), in collaboration with Rasmi Damo and Fekra France, invite children aged 10–12 to a three-day animation workshop during HUMAN International Documentary Film Festival.

  • Date: Monday, March 2, Tuesday, March 3 and Thursday, March 5
  • Time: Approx. 17:00-19:00
  • Location: The venue for the workshop is on the second floor of Cinemateket.
  • Method: Developed in Palestine and giving children the opportunity to shape their own stories through animation. Together with artist and filmmaker Rasmi Damo, participants get to work on the entire process, from idea and character development to animation, sound and finished short film.

Screening of the finished short films: Sunday, March 8 at 15:30 at Cinemateket. Free admission, but tickets must be picked up at the box office.
