Climate in Therapy
Regi: Nathan Grossman
Seven climate scientists participate in group therapy about climate anxiety.
Climate in Therapy is a humorous yet deeply serious film experiment. In a hotel, the scientists gather to do something they rarely do in their jobs: Talk about their own feelings. How do they cope — those who have the most knowledge about the catastrophe that threatens our entire existence, while the world continues on the same path as before? The situation is not made easier by a public in which science is increasingly questioned and made suspicious.
The therapist has a demanding task ahead. After all, scientists are more used to analyzing data and acting rationally than revealing how they feel on the inside. The film challenges the idea that science and emotions have nothing to do with each other. Can we actually get a closer to a solution if we manage to untangle the knots within ourselves?
